1/24th scale Brewster Bermuda/Buccaneer

A superb set of 1/24th scale construction plans to build the RAF Brewster Bermuda Mk 1 (or USN SB2A Buccaneer) dive bomber. The prototype rubber powered model, on which these plans are based won the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 UK scale indoor free flight Nationals. The plans are packed with detail and information, The design accurately replicates the ful size apart from a slight increase in dihedral.

The Brewster Bermuda was a large WW2 Dive Bomber, built as a direct competitor to the more famous Curtiss Helldiver. Although it was not successful as a full size aircraft, this perfect replica flies extremely well. The model has a wingspan of just under 24 inches, and flies on 2 loops of 3mm rubber with an 8 inch prop. It is also ideally suited to the Zombie, Voodoo 25 and 130mAh LiPo electric free flight set-up and would fly well with micro radio control using throttle, rudder and elevator control.

Plan features optional knock-off wings and torsion sprung undercarriage. Can be flown outdoors ‘wheels up’.
