Nakajima B5N2 Kate – 1/20th scale

Designed to 1/20th scale (31″ wing span) my ‘Kate’ builds up into an impressive rubber powered model. The large wing area and light weight construction make for a remarkably low wing loading, resulting in a slow flying, stable model. Despite its size it circles nicely in a moderately sized hall, but is also perfect for outdoor flying too. The wealth of detail on my plans has to be seen to be appreciated, and the Kate is no exception. The accompanying instructions are full of photographs and hints, guiding you through each stage of the build.  My model flies beautifully indoors on 2 loops of 1/8” rubber, driving an 8 inch commercial propeller. Although no details are shown on the plan, the Kate would convert perfectly to Radio Control, with 3 channel control (throttle/rudder/elevator).
